It did require some travel on a dirt road to get there, but it was totally worth it. Mt. Sunflower is on private property, but the owners have been gracious enough to allow visitors to visit the highest point in Kansas (4,039 ft). As clearly illustrated on the given map of Kansas US, it is bordered by Missouri on the east, Nebraska on the north, Missouri Colorado on the west, and Oklahoma on the south. The Kansas US is divided into 105 counties and 628 cities. The interesting fact about the state is – it is located at equidistance from the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.The highest point in Kansas, Mt. Sunflower is on privately owned land, but all visitors are welcome. Mount Sunflower is found along the Land and Sky Scenic Byway. This byway is the only byway that focuses on agriculture and features thousands of acres of rotating crops, livestock, and wildlife along the route, but that’s not all.
